C'est un film que j'ai beaucoup aimé. Le film est long (3h17), mais il n'y a pas de longueur! La souffrance de Bakhita est prenante, et elle ne devient pas révolte. Au contraire, en son âme et son coeur fleurit un fruit exquis: la charité. Combien j’aimerais rencontrer Bakhita et l’avoir comme amie! C’est un témoignage de sainteté tellement vrai et inspirant. Vraiment ce à quoi l’Évangile nous appelle tous.

It is a movie that I liked very much. The film is long (3h17), but there is no length! Bakhita's suffering is gripping, and she does not become rebellious. On the contrary, in her soul and her heart flourishes an exquisite fruit: charity. How much I would like to meet Bakhita and have her as a friend! It is a testimony of holiness so true and inspiring. What we are all called to, by the Gospel.
