Merci saint Joseph !

My father was very thin when he was born and would not eat. People said that he had to be laid on a pillow so “he wouldn’t beak”. My grandmother Blanche had to feed him with a dropper. Obviously, he was not going to live very long.

My great grandmother, who was living in the house at the time, decided that she would go see Brother André with my grandmother to ask that my father be healed.

These two courageous women climbed the steps of the Oratory on their knees, taking turns in carrying the baby.

They went to see Brother André who took the child in his arms and told them to give him something to eat. Oh the many times they had tried! They thought this was a very simplistic advice.

When they came back from seeing Brother André, they passed in front a crowned statue of St Joseph; this is where the oil of Saint Joseph burns perpetually. When they came to this place, my father, who was lying on a pillow, found the strength to raise himself up and stretch his little arms towards the crowned St Joseph. He started to eat again and to regain strength.

Thank you Saint Joseph for all you have done for the people who pray you.
